I am a Soil / Computer / Data Scientist with a passion for finding effective and simple solutions to some of the biggest geoscience and environmental problems of our time. My academic background in Soil Science, Ecology, Geographic Information Science, Computer Science, Statistics, and Data Science, combined with my proven applied work experience, has given me a unique skill set to find innovative solutions. I have extensive knowledge in end-to-end application building, from production-scale products to individual apps deployable locally.
I have advanced skills in Python and R, with intuitive knowledge of building entire Geospatial systems from the server, database management, API and backend development, to front-end UI expertise both locally and in the cloud. My proven analytical capabilities with machine learning methods used in academic research have helped me to develop effective end-to-end tools to better position, analyse and understand the scientific questions posed to us.
