1pm- Wallenstein Feed and Supply (Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd. : Welcome!). 7307 Wellington Road 86, Wallenstein, Ontario N0B 2S0
For over 65 years, Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd. has been manufacturing quality feed for the Ontario livestock industry.
Time marches on, and so does Wallenstein Feed & Supply Ltd. (WFS).
The recent removal of Mill 1, a wooden workhorse built in 1963, made way for the construction process which yielded WFS’ impressive Mill 4 in 2017. The multi-faceted features of this state-of-the-art mill perfectly complement the already powerful capabilities of Mill 2 and 3. All three are in production 24/6.
These mills, along with our Monkton Premix Facility, join forces to ensure that WFS is confidently poised to fulfil the future needs of all customers.
Whether you are poultry, swine, dairy, beef or small ruminant focused, WFS has the modern mill power to feed your needs with precision and quality assured.
3pm - Martin's Family Fruit Farm (Martin’s Family Fruit Farm — Our Story) 1420 Lobsinger Line, Waterloo, ON N2J 4G8
The Martin family has farmed these Ontario lands since 1820. The apple growing part of our history began with a suggestion from Branko Premlec, a Yugoslavian exchange student with a background in horticulture. Branko and Leighton Martin agreed that the region’s combination of warm summer sunshine, adequate rainfall, rich soil and cool autumn nights would be perfect for producing the sweet, juicy apples that the Martin’s Family has become famous for.
Martin’s Fruit Farm has over million apple trees in their orchards. Our home farm and original orchards are located in Waterloo, Ontario. We also have other orchards on the north shore of Lake Erie near Port Burwell, nearly two hours south of Waterloo.
Presenter: Dr. Richard Heck, P.Ag.
