There is always so much to see and learn at Woodleigh Farms! Norm Lamothe will share how strategies like reduced tillage, cover cropping, diverse crop rotations, soil organic amendments, precision ag and rotational grazing (new!) work together to help his farm improve soil health and reduce environmental impact while maintaining profitability.
In this plot and pasture walking tour, you'll see:
- A newly established Rotational Grazing System for sheep
- Recently established Operation Pollinator habitat in field margins
- On-farm biochar composting
- ONFARM research plots
- and more!
This event is FREE to attend. Lunch included. Registration is required. This is a walking tour; please dress appropriately for field conditions (e.g., close-toed shoes). The tour will proceed rain or shine (barring severe inclement weather).
This event is an OSCIA-recognized Knowledge Sharing Event (KSE) for farmers with On-Farm Climate Action Fund projects in the Rotational Grazing or Cover Cropping categories.
