Profile of the Speaker
Since graduating from law school in 1993, Kathleen Sullivan has held a range of executive and public affairs positions including Executive Director of the Canadian Agri-food Trade Alliance, CEO of the Canadian Agri-food Policy Institute and General Manager of the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada. Sullivan also spent three years in the Ontario government as Senior Policy Advisor to the Honourable Janet Ecker, Minister of Education, and as Policy Advisory in the Ontario Cabinet Office.
As Executive Director of CAFTA, the organization representing the 80% of Canada's agri-food sector that relies on international trade, she is responsible for promoting negotiations in the WTO Doha Development Round and the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement and in influencing the federal government to advance the trade interests of Canadian agriculture and food exporters.
