Guest Speaker: Ryan Brewster, A.Ag., B.Sc. (Ker Crop Management Services (KCMS))

Ryan is a B.Sc. graduate of Brock University with a degree in Biology, an Articling Agrologist, member of the Niagara Branch of OIA and Field Service Manager with KCMS.  Currently Ryan is working with grape and tender fruit growers monitoring bud hardiness and winter injury.  His duties with KCMS include hiring and training seasonal staff, identifying pest presence and associated damage, creating geo-referenced vineyard and orchard maps, coordinating research projects and data collection/analysis. Recently, he has been working on wind machine effectiveness in reducing winter injury of specific crops, creating a GPS-based pest monitoring protocol and tracking MALB populations in Niagara vineyards.
